Obituary for Joseph Jackson
Joseph ‘Joe’ Jackson was born April 22, 1929 to Arthur and Laura (Claymore) Jackson at Bad Nation, SD. He started his next journey May 4, 2023 in Rapid City, SD.
Joe was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He is survived by his three adult children: Jason (Ginny) Jackson, Juanita Barrios and Jerry (Bonnie) Jackson, all of California.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife JoAnn; his youngest daughter Michelle (Jackson) Spotted Elk; brothers Melvin and Lavern; and sisters Lena, Catherine and Sylvia.
His last job was a bus driver for Todd County Schools. He really enjoyed driving the kids to school and picking them up to go home.
He will be greatly missed by us all. A special thanks to Darlene Young and her family for taking care of dad in his last years of his life.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory nobody can steal.
We are having a celebration of life on Saturday May 27, 2023 from 8am -5pm at Fr. Paul Hall in Mission, SD. Please join us to say goodbye to dad.
